Area51 is committed to fulfilling our customers’ needs for products free from hazardous elements to comply with RoHS standards and the upcoming Asian RoHS regulations. Area51 is progressively identifying, offering and delivering products that are lead free from our franchised lines.
- Area51’s RoHS Policy identifies materials that meet RoHS standards.
- Partnering with our franchised lines, Area51 encourages component manufacturers to eliminate hazardous substances from their products and to use part numbers and spec sheets to identify RoHS compliant products.
- Area51 will recommend environmentally compliant substitute components whenever possible.
- Area51 will provide compliance documentation via manufacturers’ specification sheet upon request.
- Area51 will make amendments to its RoHS Policy when necessary to adapt to changing customer needs, the availability of new information or information sources, or based on economic factors.
